MCESD Welcomes New CEO Dr Brendan Zerafa
The Malta Council for Economic and Social Development (MCESD) is pleased to welcome Dr Brendan Zerafa as its first Chief Executive Officer.
Dr Zerafa is a lawyer with a strong background in foreign affairs and international politics. He holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Master of Advocacy from the University of Malta, as well as a Master of Laws in Diplomacy and International Law from Lancaster University. He also lectures at the University of Malta’s Department of Policy, Politics, and Governance and is widely regarded as one of Malta’s leading experts in international affairs.
Over the past months, Dr Zerafa has served as Executive Secretary of the MCESD. His previous roles within the Government of Malta include policy and communication positions at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and the Office of the Prime Minister. He has also represented the Government on national bodies such as the MCESD and the Employment Relations Board.
MCESD looks forward to Dr Zerafa’s leadership in continuing to strengthen dialogue and collaboration among Malta’s economic and social partners.
