MCESD meeting on pensions held at MCAST

  • Newly set-up MCESD Research Steering Unit to focus on five themes: Environment, Fairness, Productivity, Stability and Competitive Sustainability.

 

An MCESD meeting took place this morning at MCAST on the pensions’ reform, the newly set up MCESD research steering unit and the MCESD Activity Report covering 2020. The report gives an in-depth look at the work of MCESD in terms of events organised, MCESD meetings held, conferences and meetings attended and a section on the media and branding strategy of MCESD. The report provides information on other MCESD-related initiatives and activities.

During today’s meeting, Stephanie Fabri gave a presentation on the  steering unit within MCESD. David Spiteri Gingell gave a presentation on pensions.

Principal Permanent Secretary and MCESD deputy chairperson Mario Cutajar, MCESD chairperson James Pearsall and Minister Carmelo Abela are also in attendance, along with Executive Secretary Adriana Chircop.

Mr Pearsall gave a brief about the working groups, MCESD research steering unit and the strategy for MCESD this year. The research team, made up of a number of experts from various fields, will conduct research for future MCESD meetings and other topics and issues that may crop up from time to time. The steering committee will primarily focus on five themes: Environment, Fairness, Productivity, Stability and Competitive Sustainability.
