CSC given in-depth presentation on EESC’s roles

The CSC within MCESD today participated in an informative meeting on the roles of the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC). The MCESD is a member of the EESC.

Committed to European integration, the EESC contributes to strengthening the democratic legitimacy and effectiveness of the European Union by enabling civil society organisations from the Member States to express their views at European level.

EESC representatives Ms Janine Borg and Ms Susanna Ritari addressed the CSC.

Mr Ben Rizzo, chairman of the CSC, thanked the EESC representatives for the information provided to CSC.
