MCESD Council members attend ‘Labour Market’ Business B’fast
MCESD Council members, comprising social partners, and members of staff of MCESD this morning attended a business breakfast themed ‘The Labour Market’: Looking Back and The Road Ahead.
Speakers included representatives from Farsons Group and BOV, who gave an account on current conditions of work, including the benefits of work from home for those raising children most especially, and inclusion.
Minister of Finance and Employment Clyde Caruana addressed the conference whereby he launched a consultation process tied to a new employment policy by October that will address key areas such as salaries that are stagnated, underemployment, lack of skills and pressures brought about by foreign workers.
He said that social partners will have time to give their views on the above-mentioned issues or topics.
