MCESD meets Archbishop
Archbishop Charles Scicluna on Thursday (November 19) had an informal meeting at the Curia with the Malta Council for Economic and Social Development.
The topic for discussion between the Archbishop, MCESD’s members, led by Chairman James H. Pearsall, was the pandemic. The Government, which is also an MCESD member, was represented by Minister Carmelo Abela.
The Archbishop expressed appreciation for the state aid for businesses and their employees, but also pointed out difficulties which families are experiencing in their everyday life.
The Archbishop told employers that they the dignity of workers should be respected while employees should also do their part and be responsible.
