The MCESD is pleased to announce the appointment of its seventh chairperson.
Architect David Xuereb has been appointed as chairperson of the Malta Council for Economic and Social Development (MCESD). The Parliamentary Secretary for Social Dialogue Andy Ellul announced this appointment after consulting with all the social partners.
Architect David Xuereb will succeed Mr. James Pearsall as chairperson of the MCESD.
The Parliamentary Secretary for Social Dialogue stated that he is convinced that the new chairperson, Mr.David Xuereb, will endeavour to ensure that social dialogue will continued to be improved for the benefit of the common good.
The MCESD would like to express its best wishes to its incoming chairperson, as well as its appreciation to Mr. James Pearsall for his dedication and exceptional work with the MCESD.
Biographical Note: Architect David Xuereb
Architect Xuereb has led and chaired a number of established firms and organisations in Malta and overseas and was engaged in significant development projects driving high standards of quality and sustainability. He has led initiatives in the fields of environmentally sensitive green industries and ESG values. He has taught, presented, and spoken at various universities and institutions, with a focus on sustainable building environments, climate change and decarbonisation.
