The International Monetary Fund met with the Executive Secretary of MCESD
A delegation from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) met the Executive Secretary of MCESD Adriana Chircop as part of their fact-finding mission. During this meeting, the MCESD, which is in charge of managing the annual report of the National Productivity Board, was the topic of discussion.
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) keeps a close eye on the state of the global economy as well as the international monetary system in order to identify potential threats and provide solutions that will promote economic expansion while maintaining monetary order. In addition to this, the Fund routinely assesses the state of the economic and financial policies of each of its 190 member nations. The IMF analyses potential threats to the economic stability of its member nations and provides advice to the governments of such nations about potential adjustments to their economic policies.
