The Malta Council for Economic and Social Development (MCESD) has been awarded over €111,000 in EU funds after the Government entity applied for the funds late last year to implement a European Social Funded project.

Project title: Enhancing the positive contribution of social dialogue through evidence-based research
Duration: The Agreement is considered effective as from tomorrow April 1 and ends on 30th September 2022.
Project Summary
This project will be divided into 3 main phases: – Research on four thematic areas -Training of MCESD staff on communication and outreach to stakeholders – Dissemination of project outcomes to stakeholders. Leading researchers will delve into thematic subjects according to their field of expertise with the aim of presenting the outcome to MCESD and other stakeholders. The outcome of the research will then be disseminated through printed material as well as a closing conference. As for the training of staff, a tailor-made course will equip MCESD with necessary skills to continue to cater for its members’ needs in the social dialogue process, and for MCESD to convey its message in the best way possible.
